Overview

From 2006 to 2009, I worked across two major healthcare/pharmaceutical companies in senior development and management roles — designing enterprise SaaS interfaces and building custom web applications used by physicians, patients, and internal operations teams.

McKesson Specialty — Sr. Developer (2006–2008)

LynxMobile™ UI Design

Led the UI design for LynxMobile™, McKesson's flagship SaaS application for specialty pharmacy management. This involved creating a modern, user-friendly interface for a complex enterprise application used by pharmacy staff across the country.

Custom Web Applications

Built three internal enterprise web applications from scratch:

  • HelpDesk System — Internal IT ticket management with workflow automation
  • Employee Rewards System — Recognition platform with points-based incentives
  • Contracts Management System — Document lifecycle and approval tracking

Patient & Physician Portals

Designed and built two customer-facing web portals:

  • Patients Portal — Self-service prescription management and refill requests
  • Physicians Portal — Prescription routing and patient record access

Walgreens Specialty — Applications Development Manager (2008–2009)

Web & Marketing Leadership

Led all web initiatives, internet marketing, and web development for Walgreens Specialty. This included overseeing the digital properties that served specialty pharmacy customers and healthcare professionals.

CRM Optimization

Conducted a major optimization of the Siebel CRM system, streamlining workflows, improving data quality, and enhancing reporting capabilities. The result was a 30% increase in operational efficiency for the customer service and account management teams.

Social Media Strategy

Developed early social media strategies to increase engagement and support SEO — ahead of the curve for healthcare companies at that time.
